Vikunia – Documentation Center

For over a century, millions of people worldwide have been affected by displacement and forced migration—a topic that remains highly relevant today. According to the Global Trends Report (UNHCR), over 122 million people are currently impacted. Behind these staggering numbers lie countless individual stories.

Illustrator Viktoria Cichoń (Vikunia) has artistically interpreted some of these poignant stories from the exhibitions at the Documentation Center. Her works adorn the center’s windows and the surrounding wall. Active as a freelance illustrator in Berlin since 2014, Vikunia is renowned for her empathetic focus on characters and their narratives. She draws her inspiration from urban life, personal experiences, and political movements.
