At the opening of Gallery Weekend 2018, the artist KITRA showed systematic chaos in his first solo exhibition in Berlin. Bonjour Tristesse – an exhibition like a candy shop. For this, the Baull Gallery at Schlesisches Tor in Berlin’s Kreuzberg district was unceremoniously transformed into a comprehensive work of art for the duration of the exhibition. The entire room was painted and visitors were invited to enter a work of art. Instead of “hanging on the wall”, KITRA’s new canvas series was integrated into the space – some works loud and visible, others hidden like chameleons.
