In the colorful streets of Prenzlauer Berg, the new mural by Apl315 unfolds, created during his time in the Fresh A.I.R program of the URBAN NATION Museum. Inspired by the wall drawings of his Ukrainian homeland Odessa, Apl315 weaves in a touch of Berlin air. A tribute to the mysterious Odessa catacombs, adorned with mathematical equations and vivid everyday scenes, honoring the history of Prenzlauer Berg as a working-class district. Apl315’s palette combines the deep black of charcoal drawings with the yellow of historic Berlin buildings and subway trains that run along Schönhauser Allee – a visual poem that unites past and present.
